Happiness is Contagious

   Posted by: admin   in Information

I am vindicated!

Some of my friends have given me a hard time because of my optimistic outlook and attitude. I’ve been insultingly referred to as a “Pollyanna” or “Goodie-two-shoes” because of it. My ex-fiancé used to call me Sunshine, which I didn’t think was meant to be an insult but you never know! (GRIN)

But now I can happily go about my merry way because I have proof that there’s a good reason to be happy! And that proof comes from none other then the Harvard Medical School and the University of California, San Diego.

A recently released research study shows that happiness is contagious!

What’s fascinating about this study is that the spread of happiness does not have to be direct, it can spread to people I’ve never met! How awesome is that?

In fact, the researchers go on to say that the more happy friends you have, the happier you are likely to be! So, just reading my blog should make your happiness increase immediately!

Study co-author James H. Fowler, PhD, of the University of California-San Diego goes on to say that “…the findings do not mean you should avoid unhappy people, but that you should make an effort whenever you can to spread happiness.”

So share my blog link and spread the happiness around!

It’s true. I remember my one coach used to go on and on about a positive mental attitude. I couldn’t appreciate it then, but I do now.
